The new D-UP high-security cylinder offers the highest degree of security against break-in and handling.
"DESMODROMICO" CONCEPT
The cylinder mechanism is based on the "desmodromic" concept that derives from the Greek "obligatory path".
In the absence of the key the combination gorges are in chaotic position (random), each movement or vibration of the cylinder can cause the gorges to move in an unpredictable manner.
The key coding corresponds to the shape of the track on the key.
When the key is inserted into the cylinder, the gorges assume the only permitted position that corresponds to the key coding.
The technique known as "bumping" is not applicable to the NEW POWER cylinder, thanks to the desmodromic encryption system (Statement-ERSI ELF MEMBER of 24.10.2008 for NEW POWER cylinders).
REVERSIBLE KEY
By "reversible" key means the one whose 2 sides of the key are equally operative, therefore the user will not have to look for a certain orientation to insert the key into the cylinder.
KEY BLANK PROTECTION AND DUPLICATION CONTROL
The D-Up cylinder has a level 3 security rating for key duplication according to ICIM regulation 70R009.
In fact, D-Up keys can only be duplicated upon presentation of the ownership card and exclusively by Dierre S.p.A. through Dierre Key Point centers. The marking is not printed on the key, but only on the ownership card, completely excluding duplication from the key sample. For key duplication, use only patented Dierre Spa key blanks, which guarantee their security.
COMBINATION
The system consists of 7 gorges (reference 5/7), each of which can take 5 different positions, and 2 combination pins (ref.9 and 13) which in turn can take two different positions.
The actual combinations according to EN 1303 are: 235920.
WRONG KEY PROTECTION
The raw key is protected by a connection made on the bottom of the key compatible with the seat on the rotor.
SAFETY AGAINST NON-DESTRUCTIVE EFFORTS
The cylinder is provided with the mechanism for recognizing and blocking the false key.
If the specially modified key is inserted into the cylinder, to allow gorges to be positioned in more than one combination (key used by the intruders due to non-destructive break-ins), this key is recognized and captured, ie locked in the cylinder.
ANTITRAPAR PROTECTION AND KEY PROFILE CONTROL
The drill-proof protection is guaranteed by 2 elements, ie a sphere (item 17) and a plug (item 18), made of hardened steel. The crescent-shaped plate (item 15) protects the gorges and also performs the function of checking the profile of the key.
EXCURSION RESISTANCE
The New Power cylinder is equipped with a connecting bar of the modules, made of steel alloy different from the classic brass used in the cylinder which guarantees a high resistance in case of cylinder forcing
CLUTCH OPTION
If selected, the cylinder can be operated from the outside even if the internal key is inserted
