CADEL Pellet Fireplace Inserts

CADEL pellet fireplace inserts can be used to refurbish compatible existing fireplaces or as the firebox of a new built-in installation, combining automatic pellet feeding, fan-assisted heating and electronic control.

The current CADEL Pellet Air insert range includes Ponente 7 and Zefiro 9.

Both models feature integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Type CC50 sealed combustion chambers, cast-iron burn pots, daily and weekly programming and top flue outlets.

CADEL pellet-insert range

Ponente 7

CADEL Ponente 7 is a compact pellet insert designed for compatible existing fireplaces.

Main manufacturer specifications include:

• 6.8 kW rated output;
• 3.3 kW reduced output;
• 88% nominal efficiency;
• 92–190 m³ declared heatable volume;
• 8 kg pellet hopper;
• 0.7–1.6 kg/h pellet consumption;
• 5–11 hour declared operating range;
• 80 mm flue outlet;
• 60 mm combustion-air connection;
• 73 kg net weight.

Ponente 7 features

Ponente 7 carries an Italian 5-Star environmental rating and is classified as a Type CC50 sealed appliance.

It also features a cast-iron burn pot, cast-iron interior, Comfort Mode, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, external thermostat connection and daily/weekly programming.

Zefiro 9

CADEL Zefiro 9 is the higher-output current Pellet Air insert.

Main specifications include:

• 9 kW rated output;
• 3.5 kW reduced output;
• 90% nominal efficiency;
• 98–252 m³ declared heatable volume;
• 15 kg pellet hopper;
• 0.8–2 kg/h pellet consumption;
• 8–19 hour declared operating range;
• 80 mm flue outlet;
• 60 mm combustion-air connection;
• 80 mm warm-air duct connection;

Optional ducting on Zefiro 9

Zefiro 9 can be equipped with an optional warm-air ducting kit to transfer part of the heated air towards another compatible room.

Duct diameter, length, bends and outlets must comply with CADEL installation requirements.

Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Both Ponente 7 and Zefiro 9 feature integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Supported remote-control functions depend on the appliance configuration and compatible control system.

Sealed combustion chamber

Both inserts are classified by CADEL as Type CC50 sealed appliances.

Top flue outlet

Ponente 7 and Zefiro 9 use an 80 mm top flue outlet.

The complete chimney system must still be checked and sized for the specific installation.

Refurbishing an existing fireplace

Before selecting an insert, check the fireplace width, height and depth, chimney position, combustion-air supply, pellet-loading arrangement and required maintenance access.

An existing fireplace does not automatically mean that its current chimney is suitable for a pellet insert.

Ponente 7 or Zefiro 9?

Ponente 7 is the more compact lower-output option, while Zefiro 9 provides higher output, a larger hopper and optional warm-air ducting.

Italian 5-Star rating and Conto Termico 3.0

Ponente 7 and Zefiro 9 both carry an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

CADEL also publishes current Conto Termico 3.0 conformity documentation for both models.
