Wood Stove Pipes, Fireplace Flue Pipes and Fittings

Wood stove pipes are used to connect a wood-burning appliance to the chimney system, conveying combustion gases from the appliance towards the flue.

This category includes straight pipes, elbows, connectors and accessories for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, inserts and wood-burning cookers, available in different materials, thicknesses, diameters and finishes.

The correct pipe depends on the appliance, flue outlet diameter, operating conditions, installation layout and required appearance.

Which pipe should you choose for a wood-burning stove?

Different stove pipe ranges are designed for different technical and aesthetic requirements.

Standard wood stove pipes

Standard enamelled steel stove pipes provide a simple and economical solution for connecting wood-burning stoves, cookers and fireplaces indoors.

They are suitable for traditional installations where straightforward modular stove pipe components are required.

MILLENIUM Sweden stove pipes

The MILLENIUM Sweden range is made from 2 mm porcelain-enamelled steel with a matt black finish.

Its heavier construction and finish make it particularly suitable for visible indoor stove installations.

De Marinis DESIGN 2 mm stove pipes

The De Marinis DESIGN range is manufactured from 2 mm carbon steel with a matt black high-temperature finish.

The system is certified according to EN 1856-2:2009 and includes straight pipes, elbows, connectors and accessories for wood stoves, fireplaces and biomass appliances.

De Marinis DESIGN WOOD

DESIGN WOOD is a black enamelled steel range designed for wood-stove and fireplace flue connections.

The modular system includes components for straight sections, direction changes and connections within the same product family.

How to choose the correct diameter

The stove pipe diameter should be selected according to the appliance flue outlet and the appliance manufacturer's instructions.

The flue outlet should not be reduced arbitrarily. Any change in diameter should be evaluated according to the chimney design and operating conditions.

Stove pipe and chimney are not the same thing

The visible pipe connecting the appliance to the chimney is generally the connecting flue pipe.

The chimney system continues towards the exterior of the building and must use components suitable for the installation conditions.

Outdoor sections, wall or roof penetrations and installations requiring thermal insulation may require an insulated twin-wall chimney system rather than a single-wall indoor stove pipe.

Available components

Depending on the selected range, components may include:

  • straight pipes in different lengths;
  • 45° and 90° elbows;
  • T-connectors;

How to configure a wood stove connection

Before purchasing, check:

  • the appliance flue outlet diameter;
  • whether the outlet is rear or top mounted;
  • the distance between the stove and chimney connection;
  • the number of elbows required;
  • the selected product range and material;
  • compatibility between all components;
  • the instructions provided by the appliance and chimney-system manufacturers.
