Natural-convection and ductable wood stoves

Several Thermorossi wood stoves operate by natural convection and can be equipped, on compatible models, with dedicated ventilation and ducting accessories.

AIRBOX

Selected models such as Moma Wood and Saint Moritz Wood can use the optional AIRBOX system.

AIRBOX adds fan-assisted warm-air distribution and ducting to compatible appliances.

Moma Wood

Moma Wood features ceramic cladding, a HEATSTONE® refractory-lined combustion chamber and Smoke by-pass technology.

The model has a nominal output of 10.1 kW and a declared maximum efficiency of 88% in its base configuration.

Saint Moritz Wood

Saint Moritz Wood uses a similar technical platform with HEATSTONE®, Smoke by-pass and optional AIRBOX.

Thermorossi declares 10.1 kW nominal output, up to 88% efficiency in the standard configuration and an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

HEATSTONE®

HEATSTONE® is a ceramic refractory material used in selected Thermorossi wood-stove combustion chambers.

Always check its availability on the individual product specification.

Smoke by-pass

Smoke by-pass is used on selected Thermorossi wood stoves to alter the flue-gas path before reloading the firebox.

Its purpose is to help limit smoke entering the room during wood loading.

Fullmoon

Fullmoon is a new-generation Thermorossi stove-fireplace with Fullscreen technology, wide glazing and an all-cast-iron combustion chamber.

It is available with natural convection or optional fan-assisted heating using AIRBOX4.

The declared nominal output is 10.6 kW and the model carries an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

Moon

Moon belongs to the same stove-fireplace family and combines a wide view of the flame with freestanding installation.

Panorama Wall

Panorama Wall is a wall-mounted stove-fireplace with front and side glazing for a panoramic view of the fire.

It uses an all-cast-iron combustion chamber and is available with natural convection or optional AIRBOX4 ventilation.

The declared nominal output is 10.6 kW and the model carries a 5-Star environmental rating.

Fullscreen technology

Selected new Thermorossi stove-fireplaces use Fullscreen technology to maximise the visible area of the flame.

Natural convection, ventilation or ducting?

Natural-convection appliances distribute heat without dedicated forced-air ventilation.

Fan-assisted models use dedicated fans, while ductable models can send part of the warm air towards other compatible rooms.

Choosing the correct output

Heat output should not be selected according to floor area alone.

Consider room volume, insulation, climate zone, ceiling height, external surfaces, ventilation and any ducting requirements.

Efficiency and wood consumption

Real wood consumption depends on heat demand, fuel moisture, chimney draught, air regulation and the thermal characteristics of the building.

Choosing firewood

Use properly seasoned natural firewood in accordance with Thermorossi instructions.

Excessively wet wood can reduce combustion quality and increase deposits in the appliance and flue system.

Flue and chimney system

A Thermorossi wood stove requires a correctly sized flue and chimney system.

Check flue diameter, outlet position, chimney height, draught, bends, insulation and combustion-air requirements.

Environmental rating

The Thermorossi range includes many current 5-Star wood-burning appliances, including Fullmoon and Panorama Wall.

Thermorossi publishes current Conto Termico 3.0 documentation for several wood-burning models.
