Palazzetti Ecopalex GTM Wood Fireplace Inserts

Palazzetti Ecopalex GTM wood fireplace inserts are built-in log-burning fireboxes designed to upgrade compatible existing open fireplaces or create new closed-fireplace installations.

The range includes different sizes and configurations, from compact GTM70 models to larger GTM80 and GTM90 inserts, including corner versions with two-sided glass.

Ecopalex GTM inserts operate by natural convection and, on compatible models, can be equipped with optional kits for front fan-assisted heating or warm-air ducting.

Palazzetti Ecopalex GTM range

The range includes GTM70, GTM70 SP, GTM80, GTM80 corner and GTM90 configurations.

Natural convection

Ecopalex GTM inserts can operate by natural convection without continuous forced-air ventilation.

Optional front ventilation

Compatible models can use dedicated Palazzetti ventilation kits to increase warm-air distribution in the installation room.

Warm-air ducting

Optional ducting kits can also transfer part of the warm-air output to additional compatible rooms.

Ecopalex GTM70

GTM70 provides approximately 9 kW rated output with 88.3% nominal efficiency.

Ecopalex GTM70 SP

GTM70 SP uses Palazzetti O2Brick technology.

O2Brick

O2Brick is a catalytic technology used on selected SP configurations to reduce particulate emissions.

Ecopalex GTM80

GTM80 provides a larger combustion chamber and can be configured for natural convection, front ventilation or warm-air ducting.

Ecopalex GTM80 corner

The corner version is available with right- or left-hand glazing and provides a two-sided view of the fire.

Current manufacturer data is approximately 12.4 kW rated output, 86.9% efficiency and an Italian 5-Star rating.

Ecopalex GTM90

GTM90 is the largest current Ecopalex GTM model in this range.

Thermofix® and Magnofix®

Selected Ecopalex GTM fireboxes use dedicated Palazzetti refractory materials such as Thermofix® and Magnofix®.

Cast-iron firebox base

Current Ecopalex GTM configurations combine refractory firebox linings with a cast-iron base.

Automatic smoke deflector

Selected GTM models use an automatic smoke deflector that changes the flue-gas path when the door is opened and returns to its operating position when the door is closed.

External combustion-air connection

Compatible models allow combustion air to be ducted directly from outdoors according to Palazzetti installation requirements.

Upgrading an existing open fireplace

Before selecting an insert, measure the existing fireplace opening carefully and check width, height, depth, chimney position, ventilation space and maintenance access.

The fact that an insert physically fits inside the opening does not automatically mean that the installation is technically compatible.

Creating a new fireplace

Ecopalex GTM inserts can also be used in new fireplace constructions, provided the surround, insulation, air grilles, combustion-air supply and chimney connection are correctly designed.

Insert or monobloc firebox?

An insert is particularly suitable for compact installation inside an existing opening, while a monobloc firebox is generally intended as the technical core of a completely new fireplace structure.

Choosing the correct output

Output should be selected according to actual building heat demand rather than floor area alone.

Firewood

Use properly seasoned natural firewood in accordance with Palazzetti instructions.

Italian 5-Star environmental rating

Current Ecopalex GTM configurations in this range carry an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

Italian Conto Termico 3.0

Palazzetti provides Conto Termico 3.0 documentation for several current Ecopalex GTM models.

Actual eligibility depends on the exact appliance and complete replacement project.

Flue and chimney system

Each wood insert requires a correctly sized chimney system according to output, flue temperature, draught and installation conditions.

GTM70 uses a 150 mm appliance outlet, while GTM90 uses a 200 mm outlet.
