Flush handles Antologhia

Antologhia Colombo Design recessed handles are designed for sliding doors where projection from the surface of the door leaf needs to be kept to a minimum. Made of brass, they reinterpret traditional hardware through the Busiri, Louis XVI and Ottocento families, each offered with or without a keyhole.

Recessed handles for sliding doors

A recessed handle is partially set into the thickness of the door leaf, providing a grip with limited external projection. This configuration is particularly suitable for sliding doors, where a conventional projecting handle could interfere with the movement or recessing of the door.

It should not be confused with a lift-and-slide operating handle: a recessed handle provides a grip for the door, while a lift-and-slide handle operates the dedicated mechanism of the sliding frame.

Before installation: check the recess dimensions, door thickness and construction, together with the fixing method specified for the individual model.

Three families, with or without keyhole

Busiri – KBU111 / KBU111CF

A hexagonal-inspired profile softened by curved lines and rounded reliefs. KBU111 is the version without keyhole, while KBU111CF incorporates a keyhole. Fixing is by small pin.

Louis XVI – KLU111 / KLU111CF

A slender classical design reflecting the Louis XVI series. KLU111 is supplied without keyhole, while KLU111CF has a keyhole. Fixing is by visible screws.

Ottocento – KOT111 / KOT111CF

A design inspired by nineteenth-century traditional hardware. KOT111 is the version without keyhole, while KOT111CF includes a keyhole. Fixing is by small pin.

Brass, finishes and Antologhia workmanship

The recessed handles in this category are made of brass and belong to the Made in Italy Antologhia collection by Colombo Design, combining traditional manufacturing methods with a significant degree of manual workmanship in selected finishes and decorative details.

Depending on the family, finishes include natural unlacquered brass, bronze, natural unlacquered silver, polished chrome and natural unlacquered nickel. Not every finish can be ordered for every model, so the variants shown on the individual product page should always be checked.

Natural unlacquered finishes may gradually change over time. Natural brass in particular tends to oxidise and develop the characteristic surface patina of an uncoated material.

Ordering: Antologhia handles are made to order. Before purchasing, check the required finish, the version with or without keyhole and the dimensional compatibility with the door. Contact Matteoda customer service for current production and delivery times.
