Palazzetti Hydro Pellet Stoves – Ecofire® Water Heating Range

Palazzetti Ecofire® Hydro pellet stoves are designed to transfer a substantial proportion of pellet combustion heat to water for a compatible central-heating system.

They can be connected to radiators, fan coils, compatible underfloor heating systems and thermal storage according to the hydraulic design.

The range includes Hydro and Water/Air models, slim space-saving stoves, sealed appliances, top-flue configurations and models equipped with automatic cleaning technologies.

How does a Hydro pellet stove work?

A Hydro pellet stove uses a heat exchanger to transfer combustion heat to the water circuit.

Unlike an air-heating pellet stove, it must therefore be connected to a correctly designed hydraulic heating system.

Water or Water/Air?

Palazzetti uses both water-only and Water/Air configurations.

Water models transfer most useful output to the hydraulic circuit, while Water/Air models also use a room fan to release part of the heat directly into the installation room.

Rated output and water output

When selecting a Hydro stove, compare both total rated output and useful output transferred to water.

The latter is particularly important when sizing radiators and the complete heating system.

Tiffany TC Hydro

Tiffany TC Hydro is a slim space-saving Palazzetti stove offered in 13 and 21 kW configurations.

The 13 kW version provides approximately 12 kW to water, while the 21 kW version reaches approximately 19 kW to water.

Dadò TC Hydro is offered in different outputs, including 10, 15, 20 and 26 kW configurations.

It combines sealed combustion, an integrated hydronic unit, anti-condensation valve, large pellet hopper and automatic combustion and cleaning systems.

Dadò Hydro 15

Self Cleaning System

On compatible models, Self Cleaning System automates burn-pot and heat-exchanger cleaning cycles.

It reduces routine manual intervention but does not eliminate scheduled maintenance.

Complete Burning System

Complete Burning System forms part of the combustion-management platform on compatible Palazzetti Hydro appliances.

Combustion Dynamic Control

Selected models use Combustion Dynamic Control to regulate the relationship between pellet feed and combustion air.

Integrated hydronic unit

Many Palazzetti Hydro stoves include an integrated hydronic group with components such as:

  • circulation pump;
  • safety valve;
  • closed expansion vessel;
  • pressure gauge;
  • anti-condensation valve.

The integrated components do not replace correct heating-system design.

Thermal storage

Compatible Hydro stoves can be integrated with a buffer tank or thermal storage system where required by the hydraulic design.

Domestic hot water

A Hydro stove primarily heats technical water for the heating circuit.

Domestic hot-water production requires a dedicated hydraulic configuration such as a storage cylinder, heat exchanger or other compatible system.

Universal Gateway and Palazzetti App

Many current models are prepared for Universal Gateway, which enables supported control functions through the Palazzetti App.

Hydro stove or air-heating pellet stove?

An air-heating pellet stove mainly heats the installation room, while a Hydro stove transfers a substantial proportion of its output to the water-based heating system.

Choosing the correct output

Hydro-stove sizing should be based on the actual heat demand of the building and heating system, including radiator output, water temperature, system volume and any thermal storage.

Italian 5-Star rating

Many current Palazzetti Hydro models, including Tiffany TC and Dadò TC configurations, carry an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

Always check the exact model and version.

Italian Conto Termico 3.0

Palazzetti lists Conto Termico 3.0 among the incentives applicable to many current qualifying Hydro models.

Actual eligibility depends on the complete replacement project and applicable technical and administrative requirements.

Flue and chimney system

Every Hydro pellet stove requires a correctly sized flue and chimney system according to output, flue temperature, pressure, route and installation conditions.
