Palazzetti Fireplace Inserts

Palazzetti fireplace inserts are built-in heating appliances designed to upgrade compatible existing fireplaces or to create new closed-fireplace installations.

The range includes Ecopalex GTM wood-burning inserts and Ecofire pellet inserts, with different sizes, outputs and heat-distribution systems.

Wood inserts can operate by natural convection and, on compatible versions, use optional front-ventilation or warm-air ducting kits. Pellet inserts use automatic fuel feeding and fan-assisted or ducted warm-air distribution depending on the model.

Wood or pellet fireplace insert?

Ecopalex GTM wood inserts use manually loaded logs, while Ecofire inserts use automatic pellet feeding and electronic control.

Ecopalex GTM wood inserts

The current range includes GTM70, GTM70 SP, GTM80, GTM80 corner and GTM90 configurations.

Depending on the exact model, they can operate by natural convection and use optional front ventilation or warm-air ducting.

Ecopalex GTM70 SP and O2Brick

GTM70 SP uses Palazzetti O2Brick technology and carries an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

Ecopalex GTM80

GTM80 uses a refractory-lined firebox, cast-iron base, removable ash drawer and independent combustion-air and glass-cleaning-air controls.

Ecopalex GTM80 corner

The corner version is available with right- or left-hand glass configuration.

Current manufacturer data includes approximately 12.4 kW rated output, 86.9% efficiency and an Italian 5-Star rating.

Ecopalex GTM90

GTM90 provides approximately 13.8 kW rated output, 86.4% efficiency and an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

Thermofix® and Magnofix®

Palazzetti uses dedicated refractory materials such as Thermofix® and Magnofix® on selected wood inserts.

Ecofire pellet inserts

The pellet-insert range includes Small 54, A70S, A78, AC78 and KPE8.

Small 54

Small 54 is a compact approximately 54 cm wide pellet insert with around 6 kW output and fan-assisted air heating.

A70S

A70S is approximately 70 cm wide, provides around 9 kW and carries an Italian 5-Star environmental rating.

A78

A78 provides approximately 12.5 kW with fan-assisted room-air heating.

AC78

AC78 provides approximately 12.5 kW and is designed for ducted warm-air distribution.

KPE8

KPE8 is a vertical-format pellet insert providing approximately 8 kW and warm-air distribution through two separate ducts.

Pellet loading is performed from the front, while the firebox can be extracted on sliding guides for maintenance access.

Upgrading an existing fireplace

Before selecting an insert, check fireplace width, height and depth, chimney position, combustion-air supply, maintenance access and any required warm-air ducts.

An existing fireplace does not automatically mean that its current chimney is suitable for the new appliance.

Insert or built-in firebox?

An insert is specifically designed for compact installation inside an existing opening, while a monobloc firebox is generally intended as the technical core of a new fireplace construction.

Italian environmental rating

Current Ecopalex GTM models include several Italian 5-Star configurations.

Pellet inserts have different ratings depending on the model, so the exact product documentation should always be checked.

Italian Conto Termico 3.0

Palazzetti provides Conto Termico 3.0 information for selected qualifying inserts.

Actual incentive eligibility depends on the exact appliance and complete replacement project.

Flue and chimney system

Each insert requires a correctly sized chimney system suitable for the selected fuel, output and installation conditions.
