Palazzetti Ecopalex GTM80: 12.4 kW wood-burning fireplace insert

Palazzetti Ecopalex GTM80 is a wood-burning fireplace insert designed for renovating existing open fireplaces or creating new custom-built fireplaces.

It delivers a 12.4 kW nominal heat output and operates by natural convection as standard.

Natural convection as standard

Ecopalex GTM80 distributes heat by natural convection in its standard configuration.

Optional front ventilation

A dedicated optional fan kit can be installed to provide faster front hot-air distribution into the room.

Optional hot-air ducting

The dedicated centrifugal kit allows heated air to be transferred through ducts to other rooms.

The kit must be installed in a dedicated space below the insert and requires a compatible control unit.

Thermofix® firebox

The firebox features Thermofix® refractory material with a cast-iron base, designed to withstand the high temperatures generated by wood combustion.

Automatic smoke baffle

The automatic smoke baffle increases draft when the door is opened and reduces it again after closing to optimise normal operating efficiency.

External combustion air

Combustion air can be supplied directly from outside. The Palazzetti technical manual specifies an external air intake diameter of Ø120 mm.

Palazzetti Ecopalex GTM80 is rated A+, complies with Ecodesign 2022 requirements and achieves the Italian 5-star environmental rating.

Palazzetti documentation refers to Conto Termico 3.0 for GTM80. Actual eligibility depends on the installation, the appliance being replaced and compliance with all applicable requirements.

Installation

The insert uses a Ø180 mm flue outlet. The chimney, combustion-air supply and any optional ventilation or ducting system must be correctly designed before installation.
