The Caminetti Montegrappa COMPACT 70EP is a 70 cm natural-convection wood-burning fireplace insert designed to upgrade an existing fireplace and improve heating efficiency, safety and heat management.

Its certified rated heat output is 7.6 kW, with a total heat input of 8.7 kW and 87% efficiency. Its indicative heating capacity is up to approximately 87 m², depending on building insulation, climate zone and operating conditions.

COMPACT 70EP carries 5-Star environmental certification and achieves primary particulate emissions of only 8 mg/Nm³. It operates with natural convection as standard and can be upgraded with optional ventilation and hot-air distribution kits.

COMPACT 70EP has been specifically developed for renovating existing fireplaces. Its compact dimensions and reduced installation depth make it suitable even where the available space is limited.

Natural convection with optional ventilation

COMPACT 70EP operates with natural convection as standard, providing quiet and gradual heat distribution.

Optional ventilation and hot-air distribution kits are available for customers who require faster heat circulation.

Vermiculite combustion chamber

The combustion chamber is lined with vermiculite and features a flame-breaker baffle. A heavy-duty grate and removable ash drawer make routine operation and cleaning easier.

Panoramic ceramic-glass door

The wide ceramic-glass front door preserves an extensive view of the flames when upgrading an existing open fireplace.

How much space can COMPACT 70EP heat?

With a 7.6 kW certified rated output, COMPACT 70EP is suitable for an indicative heating area of up to approximately 87 m².

Installation and chimney system

COMPACT 70EP features a Ø 150 mm top flue outlet. The technical documentation specifies a Ø 15 cm internal chimney section and a minimum chimney height of 3 metres.

The condition and suitability of an existing chimney must always be checked before installation.

COMPACT 70EP is 5-Star certified according to Italian D.M. 186/2017, with 87% efficiency and primary particulate emissions of only 8 mg/Nm³.
