The Caminetti Montegrappa LIGHT 80 S is a hydro wood-burning fireplace designed to transfer heat both to the central-heating water circuit and directly to the room.
It is available as LIGHT 80-21S and LIGHT 80-27S, providing respectively 21.0 kW and 25.4 kW certified heat output. Both versions achieve 86.4% efficiency and 5-Star environmental certification.
The rectangular door is entirely made from ceramic glass and features vertical sliding opening for wood loading and tilt opening for easier cleaning. The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech® and features a vermiculite deflector.

LIGHT 80-21S or LIGHT 80-27S?
The LIGHT 80-21S provides 21 kW certified output, including 8.8 kW transferred to water and 12.2 kW directly to the room.
The LIGHT 80-27S increases certified output to 25.4 kW, with 10 kW transferred to water and 15.4 kW to the room, making it more suitable for larger properties or higher heating requirements.
How does a hydro wood-burning fireplace work?
Unlike a conventional air-heating fireplace, LIGHT 80 S transfers part of the heat produced by wood combustion to the central-heating water circuit. With the correct hydraulic design, it can therefore contribute to the home's radiator or other hydronic heating system.
The system configuration must be defined by a qualified installer according to the hydraulic layout, other heat generators and required safety devices.
Panoramic ceramic glass and CMtech® combustion chamber
The full ceramic-glass door provides a wide view of the flames. Vertical sliding opening facilitates wood loading, while the tilt-opening system makes cleaning easier.
The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech® refractory material and features a vermiculite deflector.
Open or closed expansion vessel installation
LIGHT 80 S can be configured for different hydraulic layouts using dedicated accessories for open or closed expansion-vessel systems.
The monobloc includes a safety heat exchanger, adjustment handle and ash shovel. All other control, protection, safety and expansion devices required by the system must be selected and installed by the qualified installer.
How much space can the Caminetti Montegrappa LIGHT 80 S heat?
The LIGHT 80-21S is suitable for an indicative heating area of up to approximately 241 m², while the LIGHT 80-27S can reach approximately 292 m².
These values are indicative. Correct sizing of a hydro fireplace should primarily consider the building and heating-system heat demand, as well as insulation, climate zone and heated volume.
Installation and chimney system
Both versions feature a Ø 250 mm flue outlet. The specified internal chimney section is Ø 25 cm or 25 × 25 cm, with a minimum height of 5 metres.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel and include all required control, protection, safety and expansion devices.
