    The Caminetti Montegrappa MB MEGAIDRO W is a large hydro wood-burning fireplace designed to transfer a significant part of the heat produced by wood combustion to the central-heating water circuit while still providing substantial direct heat to the room.

    It is available as MB MEGAIDRO W31 and MB MEGAIDRO W35, providing respectively 24.9 kW and 29.8 kW certified heat output. Heat output to water reaches 13.5 kW on the W31 and 17.2 kW on the W35.

    The fireplace features a large rectangular full ceramic-glass door with vertical sliding opening for wood loading and tilt opening for easier cleaning. The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech® refractory material.

    W31 or W35: which version should you choose?

    The MB MEGAIDRO W31 provides 24.9 kW certified output, including 13.5 kW transferred to water and 11.4 kW directly to the room.

    The MB MEGAIDRO W35 increases certified output to 29.8 kW and heat output to water to 17.2 kW, making it more suitable for larger properties or higher heating requirements.

    How does the MB MEGAIDRO W hydro fireplace work?

    MB MEGAIDRO W transfers part of the heat produced by wood combustion to the central-heating water circuit. With the correct hydraulic design, it can therefore contribute to radiators, fan coils or other compatible hydronic heating terminals.

    The system must be designed by a qualified professional according to building heat demand, hydraulic configuration, other heat generators and required safety devices.

    Large panoramic ceramic-glass door

    The large rectangular ceramic-glass door provides an extensive view of the fire. The vertical sliding mechanism makes wood loading convenient, while tilt opening provides easier access for cleaning.

    CMtech® combustion chamber

    The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech®, a thick refractory material designed to withstand the high temperatures generated inside the firebox.

    Open or closed expansion vessel and domestic hot water

    Caminetti Montegrappa offers dedicated optional accessories for installations with open or closed expansion vessels.

    An optional domestic hot water production kit is also available, allowing the appliance to be adapted to different heating-system configurations.

    How much space can the Caminetti Montegrappa MB MEGAIDRO W heat?

    The W31 is suitable for an indicative heating area of up to approximately 286 m², while the W35 can reach approximately 342 m².

    For a hydro fireplace, these figures should only be considered indicative. Correct sizing must primarily be based on the actual heat demand of the building and heating system.

    Installation and chimney system

    Both versions feature a Ø 250 mm flue outlet. The manufacturer specifies an internal chimney section of Ø 25 cm or 25 × 25 cm and a minimum chimney height of 5 metres.

    Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel and include all control, protection, safety and expansion devices required by current regulations and system design.

    5 Stars, Ecodesign and incentives

    MB MEGAIDRO W31 and W35 are 5-Star certified according to Italian D.M. 186/2017. Official Caminetti Montegrappa documentation also includes Ecodesign certification and specific conformity documents for Italian Conto Termico 3.0 applications.
