Palazzetti Asia 80: 12.4 kW wood-burning stove

Palazzetti Asia 80 is a 12.4 kW wood-burning stove featuring a compact steel structure and a large firebox designed to provide natural heating by radiation and convection.

It is available in White Steel or Black Steel and can be installed on a suitable load-bearing surface or completed with the optional Palazzetti log-storage base.

An optional front ventilation kit is also available for faster heat distribution.

12.4 kW nominal heat output

Asia 80 provides a 12.4 kW nominal heat output from a heat input of 14.3 kW.

This is a relatively powerful wood-burning stove and should therefore be selected according to the actual heat losses and characteristics of the building rather than floor area alone.

Natural radiant and convection heating

Asia 80 normally operates without a fan and distributes heat through a combination of radiation and natural convection.

This provides silent heating without forced airflow.

Where faster room heating is required, the dedicated optional ventilation kit can be fitted.

Optional front ventilation

The optional front ventilation kit increases the speed at which warm air is distributed through the room.

The system includes adjustable fan control located at the rear of the stove.

Ventilation is optional and is not required for normal stove operation.

Thermofix® firebox with cast-iron base

The firebox is manufactured using Thermofix® refractory material with a heavy-duty cast-iron base.

These materials are designed to withstand the high operating temperatures generated by wood combustion.

Independent air controls

Asia 80 allows independent control of primary combustion air and glass-cleaning air.

This helps manage combustion while maintaining a clear view of the flame through the ceramic glass.

Flue By-Pass valve

A special By-Pass valve increases chimney draft when the door is opened, helping reduce the risk of smoke entering the room during wood loading.

When the door is closed, the flue path returns to its normal operating configuration.

External combustion-air connection

Asia 80 is designed for external combustion-air ducting.

This allows combustion air to be supplied from outdoors rather than relying exclusively on air from the installation room.

The correct configuration must always be checked by the installer according to the building and applicable regulations.

Free-standing installation or optional log-storage base

Asia 80 can be installed directly on a suitable load-bearing surface or fitted with the optional Palazzetti log-storage base.

The base is available in White or Black to match the stove and creates a practical compartment for storing firewood.

Palazzetti Asia 80 is rated A+, complies with Ecodesign 2022 requirements and achieves the Italian 5-star environmental rating under D.M. 186.

Palazzetti documentation refers to Conto Termico incentives for Asia 80. Actual eligibility for Conto Termico 3.0 depends on the type of installation, the appliance being replaced and compliance with all applicable requirements.

Installation and chimney sizing

Asia 80 uses a Ø180 mm flue outlet.

The chimney must be correctly sized according to appliance output, flue height and geometry, building characteristics and local installation requirements.

The Palazzetti installation manual specifies a reference chimney draft of 12 ± 2 Pa.
