The Caminetti Montegrappa MB MEGAFIRE N is a large front wood-burning fireplace with natural convection, designed to provide strong heating performance, an extensive view of the flames and the possibility of using the firebox for cooking.

Its certified heat output is 13.5 kW, with a total heat input of 16.3 kW and 82.8% efficiency. Its indicative heating capacity is up to approximately 155 m², depending on building characteristics and installation conditions.

The fireplace features a rectangular ceramic-glass door with painted steel edge, vertical sliding opening and stainless-steel handle. The door can also be opened sideways for easier cleaning.

The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech®, a thick light-coloured refractory material. The upper section features a CMtech®2 Catalyst-Flame Arrestor made from ceramic refractory material.

MB MEGAFIRE N features a large firebox and wide rectangular door, creating an extensive view of the flames. It is particularly suitable for large living rooms and open-plan interiors where the fireplace is intended to become a central architectural feature.

Natural convection for quiet heating

The MB MEGAFIRE N version distributes heat through natural convection, without forced ventilation. This provides quiet operation and gradual heat distribution.

Also suitable for cooking food

A distinctive feature of the MB MEGAFIRE range is that the firebox can also be used for cooking food. The firebed includes a cast-iron grate and removable ash drawer, simplifying both everyday use and maintenance.

When the fireplace is used for cooking, the manufacturer specifies a larger chimney cross-section than for heating-only operation.

CMtech® combustion chamber

The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech®, a thick light-coloured refractory material. The upper section features the CMtech®2 Catalyst-Flame Arrestor.

With a 13.5 kW certified heat output, MB MEGAFIRE N is suitable for an indicative heating area of up to approximately 155 m². Correct sizing should also consider room volume, thermal insulation, climate zone, building exposure and internal layout.

Installation and chimney system

MB MEGAFIRE N features a Ø 250 mm top flue outlet. For heating-only use, the manufacturer specifies an internal chimney section of Ø 20 cm or 20 × 20 cm. When the appliance is also used for cooking, a Ø 25 cm or 25 × 25 cm chimney section is required. Minimum chimney height is 5 metres.
