The Caminetti Montegrappa MB MEGAFIRE 16V is a large front ventilated and ductable wood-burning fireplace, designed to provide high heating performance, an extensive view of the flames and effective hot-air distribution.

Its certified heat output is 16.1 kW, with a total heat input of 18.7 kW and 86% efficiency. Its indicative heating capacity is up to approximately 185 m², depending on building characteristics and installation conditions.

MB MEGAFIRE 16V features a large rectangular ceramic-glass door with a painted steel edge and vertical sliding opening. The stainless-steel handle and side-opening system facilitate everyday operation and glass cleaning.

The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech®, a thick light-coloured refractory material. The upper section features a CMtech®2 Catalyst-Flame Arrestor made from ceramic refractory material.

Ventilated and ductable hot-air heating

The MB MEGAFIRE 16V uses a ventilated hot-air system designed to distribute heat more rapidly and effectively throughout the room.

The fireplace can be integrated into a ducted hot-air system, making it particularly suitable for large interiors where the fireplace is intended to provide a significant contribution to domestic heating.

Large firebox and panoramic flame view

MB MEGAFIRE features a generously sized firebox and a wide rectangular ceramic-glass door. This creates an extensive view of the fire and makes the fireplace a central architectural feature.

The vertical sliding opening provides convenient access for wood loading, while the side-opening system makes the internal glass easier to clean.

Also suitable for cooking food

One of the distinctive features of the Caminetti Montegrappa MB MEGAFIRE range is that the large firebox can also be used for cooking food. The firebed includes a cast-iron grate and removable ash drawer.

When the fireplace is also used for cooking, Caminetti Montegrappa specifies a chimney section of Ø 25 cm or 25 × 25 cm, larger than the section required for heating-only operation.

CMtech® combustion chamber

The combustion chamber is lined with CMtech®, a thick light-coloured refractory material. The upper section features the CMtech®2 Catalyst-Flame Arrestor.

How much space can the Caminetti Montegrappa MB MEGAFIRE 16V heat?

With a 16.1 kW certified heat output, MB MEGAFIRE 16V is suitable for an indicative heating area of up to approximately 185 m². Correct sizing should also take into account room volume, thermal insulation, climate zone, building exposure and internal layout.

Installation and chimney system

MB MEGAFIRE 16V features a Ø 250 mm top flue outlet. For heating-only operation, the manufacturer specifies an internal chimney section of Ø 20 cm or 20 × 20 cm.

When also used for cooking, a Ø 25 cm or 25 × 25 cm chimney section is specified. The minimum chimney height is 5 metres.
