Cadel Smart 60S: compact 6.5 kW wood-burning cooker with oven

Cadel Smart 60S is a compact 6.5 kW wood-burning cooker designed to combine home heating, traditional wood-fired cooking and baking in a single appliance.

Its approximately 60 cm format makes it particularly suitable for kitchens where available space is limited, while the possibility of choosing between freestanding and built-in installation provides excellent flexibility.

The cooker features a cast-iron fire door, steel handles and handrail, and a combustion chamber lined with refractory material with secondary combustion air.

Wood-fired cooking and home heating

Smart 60S works as both a room heater and a genuine wood-burning cooker.

The heat generated by the fire can be used to warm the room while simultaneously cooking on the hob or in the integrated oven.

This makes Smart 60S particularly interesting for homes, mountain houses and kitchens where wood is intended to be used as a genuine everyday cooking and heating fuel.

Integrated 24 × 42 × 29 cm oven

The integrated oven measures 24 cm wide, 42 cm deep and 29 cm high.

It uses the heat generated by the wood fire to cook bread, roasts, focaccia and many other dishes according to the traditional principles of a wood-burning range cooker.

The glazed oven door also allows the cooking process to be checked visually.

Wood-fired cooking hob

The upper part of Smart 60S provides a wood-heated cooking surface, allowing pots and pans to make direct use of the heat generated by combustion.

Using the cooking hob and oven while the appliance is heating the room makes particularly effective use of the energy contained in the wood.

Freestanding or built-in installation

One of the main advantages of the Smart range is the choice between freestanding and built-in installation.

CADEL designs its wood-burning cookers so that compatible models can be integrated into a kitchen composition without requiring a separate dedicated built-in kit, provided that all installation instructions, clearances and ventilation requirements are respected.

Cast-iron door and refractory combustion chamber

The fire door is made from cast iron, while the combustion chamber is lined with refractory material.

Secondary combustion air helps promote more complete combustion of the gases generated by the wood, improving the utilisation of the fuel.

Logs up to 30 cm

The combustion chamber is designed for wood logs up to approximately 30 cm long.

CADEL specifies a maximum wood consumption of approximately 1.8 kg/h at nominal operation.

Optional ventilation and oven lighting

Smart 60S can be equipped with an optional ventilation and lighting kit.

Ventilation helps distribute heat more quickly throughout the room, while the lighting system improves visibility inside the oven.

Top or rear flue outlet

The Ø 140 mm flue outlet can be configured at the top or rear of the appliance, providing greater installation flexibility.

A dedicated Ø 80 mm combustion air inlet is also provided.

How much space can Cadel Smart 60S heat?

CADEL specifies an indicative maximum heating volume of approximately 185 m³.

Actual heating capacity depends on building insulation, climate zone, ceiling height, exposure and actual heat loss. Correct appliance sizing should therefore be based on the thermal requirements of the property rather than floor area alone.

Installation and chimney system

Cadel Smart 60S uses an Ø 140 mm flue outlet, configurable at the top or rear, and an Ø 80 mm combustion air inlet.

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel and the chimney system must be correctly sized according to appliance output, chimney height, route and available draught.
