KLU14 is intended as a coordinated accessory for the Louis XVI family, allowing the key, escutcheon and door handle to share the same classical design language.
Its decorative proportions reflect the Empire-inspired character of the series and make it particularly suitable for timber doors, classical interiors and restoration projects.
KLU14 is supplied as an uncut key. Compatibility with the installed lock should therefore be checked before use, and the key profile may need to be cut to suit the specific locking mechanism.
The KLU14 code identifies the decorative and dimensional model within the Louis XVI range but does not replace verification of the required lock and key profile.
Louis XVI belongs to Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range inspired by historic architectural hardware. Its manufacture combines traditional brass-working methods with a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of these traditional processes and are consistent with the character of the collection.
The product page offers bronze, natural brass and natural unlacquered silver finishes.
Natural untreated metal surfaces may gradually change in colour and appearance through handling and ageing. Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, oxidises over time and develops its characteristic surface patina.
