Ottocento KOT115 revisits one of the most recognisable forms of traditional architectural hardware: a tapered round stem ending in a bell-shaped terminal. Compared with KOT215, KOT115 has a narrower and more vertically developed profile.
This makes it particularly suitable for entrance doors, timber doors, period buildings and restoration projects where the hardware should remain visually coherent without becoming excessively dominant.
KOT115 is a door knocker intended for gripping and striking the door surface. It is not a lever handle or revolving knob.
The through-fixing system provides a mechanically secure installation. Door thickness, construction and fixing conditions should always be checked before fitting.
Ottocento belongs to Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range dedicated to the reinterpretation of historic architectural hardware. Its manufacture combines traditional casting and finishing processes with a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of these traditional methods and are consistent with the handcrafted character of the collection.
The product page offers bronze, natural brass and natural unlacquered silver finishes.
Natural untreated metal surfaces may gradually change in colour and appearance through handling, exposure and ageing. Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, gradually oxidises and develops its characteristic surface patina.
