The De Marinis COPCER insulation pipe section is designed for thermal insulation of chimneys and flue pipes and is made from high-temperature ceramic mineral fibre with an external reinforced aluminium facing.
Its reduced 13 mm thickness allows high thermal performance with limited overall dimensions, making it especially suitable where available installation space is restricted.
The material is specified with heat resistance up to 1000°C and is available in nominal diameters from Ø80 to Ø300 mm.
The product is sold per linear metre.
COPCER is used to reduce heat loss from a flue and help maintain a more stable combustion-product temperature along the chimney route.

COPCER uses ceramic mineral fibre as its insulating material.
Its main advantage is its ability to withstand high temperatures while maintaining a comparatively low insulation thickness.
The external reinforced aluminium facing helps contain and protect the fibrous insulation material and facilitates installation around the flue.
The nominal insulation thickness is 13 mm.
As a preliminary geometric indication, a 13 mm insulation layer increases the overall flue diameter by approximately 26 mm, before allowing for tolerances or additional protective layers.

COPCER ceramic fibre is specified as heat resistant up to 1000°C.
This value refers to the thermal resistance of the insulation material and does not automatically define the maximum certified operating temperature of the complete flue system.
Important: adding insulation does not automatically alter the certification, temperature class or combustible-clearance requirements of the chimney system. The complete installation must comply with the flue manufacturer's instructions and applicable regulations.
COPCER is therefore particularly suitable where high temperature resistance and reduced thickness are required. Final selection must be based on the flue design, operating temperature and available space.

The COPCER diameter should be selected according to the actual external diameter of the flue pipe to be insulated.
Before ordering, check the real external dimension of the pipe rather than relying only on the nominal flue diameter.
COPCER is sold per linear metre. Order quantity should therefore be calculated according to the total length of flue to be insulated.
The insulation should be installed continuously and evenly around the flue, avoiding gaps and ensuring correct positioning of the external facing.
Its use must be compatible with flue-gas temperature, pipe construction and the complete chimney design.
For installations close to combustible materials, inside shafts or through walls and floors, always follow the certification and installation requirements of the complete flue system.
