Busiri KBU15R is a revolving door knob designed to operate the lock, rather than a fixed pull knob. Its hexagonal form is softened by curved lines and rounded reliefs, creating a recognisably traditional design without excessive ornamentation.
The rose-mounted configuration keeps the fitting visually compact and allows the form of the knob itself to remain the principal design feature.
The KBU15R version incorporates a return spring, assisting the knob in returning after operation of the lock.
The actual lock mechanism and door specification should always be checked before installation.
Busiri belongs to Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range dedicated to the reinterpretation of historic architectural hardware. Its manufacture combines traditional production methods with a significant degree of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of these traditional processes. Such characteristics are consistent with the handcrafted character of the collection rather than the perfectly uniform appearance of fully standardised industrial production.
The product page offers polished chrome, bronze, natural brass and natural unlacquered silver finishes. Natural untreated metal surfaces may gradually change in colour and appearance through handling, exposure and ageing.
Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, gradually oxidises and develops its characteristic surface patina, contributing to the authentic appearance associated with traditional Italian architectural hardware.
