Colombo Design Accademia KAC12 / KAC12B: brass window cremone handle

Accademia KAC12 / KAC12B is the traditional window cremone handle from the Colombo Design Antologhia collection, made of brass and available in two configurations: KAC12 with high plate and KAC12B with low-profile plate.

The Accademia design reinterprets traditional architectural hardware through a turned tapered stem with a raised decorative line. Both versions use the same characteristic lever but differ in plate construction and overall dimensions.

Main specifications

KAC12 with high plate

The KAC12 version uses the traditional high plate. Catalogue dimensions are approximately 144 mm high, 37 mm wide and 64.5 mm deep.

KAC12B with low-profile plate

The KAC12B version uses a low-profile plate and measures approximately 157 × 37 × 58 mm. The plate is approximately 6.5 mm thick and requires the cremone mechanism to be recessed into the window frame.

Cremone mechanism

The Antologhia catalogue specifies that the mechanism is not included as standard. It must be selected according to the window hardware and construction.

Accademia design and Italian craftsmanship

Accademia is distinguished by its turned tapered stem enriched by a fine raised decorative line, allowing the cremone handle to coordinate with door handles and other fittings from the same family.

The Antologhia collection is Made in Italy using traditional brass-working techniques with a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing. Slight variations in texture or surface appearance may be consistent with these traditional production methods.

Natural finishes

KAC12 and KAC12B are offered in bronze, natural brass and natural unlacquered silver.

Natural untreated metal surfaces may gradually change through handling and ageing. Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, oxidises over time and develops its characteristic surface patina.
