Byblos KBY25 is a fixed pull door knob: it does not rotate or directly operate the lock mechanism. Its 120 mm diameter and richly worked detailing give it the visual presence required for large and architecturally significant doors.
The design is particularly suited to traditional timber doors, period interiors and restoration projects where the hardware is intended to contribute visibly to the overall character of the door.
The knob is designed for a single through-fixing using a 10MA threaded rod with an internal cover nut. This provides a mechanically secure fixing arrangement appropriate for a large fixed door knob.
Door thickness, structure and installation conditions should always be checked before fitting.
Byblos belongs to Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range dedicated to the reinterpretation of historic architectural hardware. Its manufacture combines traditional casting and finishing methods with a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of these traditional processes and are consistent with the handcrafted character of the collection.
The product page offers bronze and polished lacquered brass finishes. These are protected finishes, so they should not be described as behaving like natural unlacquered brass.
The lacquer helps preserve the original appearance of the metal surface over time, subject to normal wear and environmental exposure.
