Colombo Design Busiri KBU25: 70×70 mm fixed brass door knob

Busiri KBU25 is a fixed door knob from the Colombo Design Antologhia collection, made of brass and featuring a 70 × 70 mm frontal format.

The Busiri design revisits the classical hexagonal form, softened by curved lines and rounded reliefs. The result is a distinctive yet balanced piece of architectural hardware suited to timber doors, classical interiors and restoration projects.

Hexagonal geometry with softened detailing

The defining feature of Busiri is its geometric design. The basic hexagonal form is softened through curved transitions and rounded reliefs, creating a balanced relationship between clear geometry and traditional decorative detailing.

At 70 × 70 mm, the knob has a clearly visible presence on the door while remaining more compact than the larger Busiri KBU35 110 × 110 mm version.

Fixed pull door knob

Busiri KBU25 is a fixed pull door knob: it provides a grip for pushing or pulling the door and does not directly operate the lock mechanism.

The through-fixing system uses a 10MA threaded rod, providing a mechanically secure installation. Door thickness, construction and fixing conditions should always be checked before fitting.

Traditional Italian craftsmanship

Busiri belongs to Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range dedicated to the reinterpretation of historic architectural hardware. Its manufacture combines traditional casting and finishing techniques with a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.

Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of these traditional processes. Such characteristics are consistent with the handcrafted character of the collection rather than the perfectly uniform appearance of fully standardised industrial production.

Finishes and natural ageing

Natural untreated metal surfaces may gradually change in colour and appearance through handling, exposure and ageing. Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, gradually oxidises and develops its characteristic surface patina.
