The Ottocento KOT12 / KOT12B is a traditional brass window cremone handle from the Antologhia collection by Colombo Design. Its vertically arranged grip features a tapered cylindrical body, decorative turned collars and bell-shaped ends, reflecting nineteenth-century architectural hardware design.
Two rectangular backplate configurations can be ordered: KOT12 with a raised backplate and KOT12B with a low-profile backplate. They share the same handle design but differ in backplate dimensions, thickness and projection.
KOT12 – Raised backplate: the traditional configuration, with a 144 × 37 mm backplate and 13 mm thickness. It requires a separately selected cremone operating mechanism.
KOT12B – Low-profile backplate: a slimmer configuration with a 157 × 37 mm backplate and a reduced thickness of 6.5 mm. The installation requires checking that the window frame can accommodate the appropriate recessed operating mechanism.
These traditional cremone handles are distinct from the KOT12 DK/SM and KOT12 CRDK tilt-and-turn window handle versions, which use different mounting configurations.

Dimensions are taken from Colombo Design technical drawings. Backplate height and width are distinguished from the projection indicated in the side view of each configuration.
The Ottocento design draws on historic window hardware, with a tapered, turned brass grip, decorative mouldings and distinctive bell-shaped terminals. Made in Italy using traditional brass-working methods, the Antologhia collection incorporates a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
Standard finishes include natural unlacquered brass (ON), unlacquered bronze (BR) and natural unlacquered silver finish (AG). These finishes may gradually change in appearance and develop a characteristic patina, particularly natural brass.
Minor porosity, surface irregularities or subtle variations may be consistent with the traditional manufacturing and finishing techniques used for the collection.
The operating mechanism is not included and must be selected separately according to the window hardware. Before ordering, check the window frame preparation, mounting dimensions and space required for the mechanism, especially with the low-profile KOT12B version.
