De Marinis ISO 25 PLUS P2TS central condensate drain cap

The De Marinis P2TS condensate drain cap is an ISO 25 PLUS component designed to collect and discharge condensate forming inside the flue system.

It is normally installed at the lower end of the chimney, for example below a tee or vertical flue section, and incorporates a 3/4" male threaded central drain connection.

The P2TS is compatible with ISO 25 PLUS systems featuring an AISI 316L BA stainless-steel inner wall, an AISI 304 BA outer wall and 25 mm blown mineral wool insulation.

It is available in nominal internal diameters Ø80, 100, 130, 150, 180, 200, 250, 300 and 350 mm.

What the P2TS is used for

Condensate may form inside a flue system as combustion gases cool.

The P2TS provides a lower collection and drainage point, allowing condensate to be conveyed to suitable disposal pipework.

It is particularly useful with appliances operating with wet flue gases, including certain condensing and low-temperature generators.

3/4" male central drain connection

The P2TS incorporates a 3/4" male threaded connection at its lower central point.

This connection can be connected to suitable condensate drainage pipework compatible with the temperature and chemical characteristics of the condensate produced by the appliance.

Important: drainage must be designed to avoid stagnant condensate. Where required, a trap, condensate neutraliser or other dedicated device must be installed according to appliance instructions and applicable regulations.

Difference between P2TS, P2TA and P2TL

The G50 classification corresponds to a 50 mm clearance from combustible materials in the certified system configuration.

Note: G50 is a classification of the certified ISO 25 PLUS system configuration and should not be interpreted as an independent property of the drain cap alone.

P2TS dimensions and De Marinis product codes

Dimensional note: De Marinis specifies Hu = 40 mm and joint depth I = 45 mm for all P2TS variants. External diameter Øe is 50 mm greater than nominal internal diameter Øi.

Installation

The P2TS should be installed at the lower point specified by the flue design and connected to suitable condensate drainage pipework.

The drain connection should remain accessible for inspection, cleaning and maintenance.

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with De Marinis technical documentation, appliance instructions and applicable regulations.
