De Marinis ISO 25 PLUS P2PI intermediate support plate
The De Marinis P2PI intermediate support plate is an ISO 25 PLUS component designed to provide an intermediate structural support point along a vertical flue system.
It combines a support plate with an insulated twin-wall straight section, allowing part of the flue weight to be transferred to a suitable supporting structure and distributed over multiple support points.
The flue section features an AISI 316L BA stainless-steel inner wall, an AISI 304 BA outer wall and 25 mm blown mineral wool insulation.
The P2PI is available in nominal internal diameters Ø80, 100, 130, 150, 180, 200, 250, 300 and 350 mm.

What the P2PI intermediate support plate is used for
In a vertical chimney system, the weight of the flue sections above must be correctly supported and distributed along the structure.
The P2PI provides an intermediate load-bearing point, preventing the entire weight of the chimney from being transferred only to the lower components.
It can be supported by a suitably designed building structure or by dedicated De Marinis supporting components where specified.
This is particularly important on tall vertical flue installations where several structural support points may be required.
Integrated straight flue section
The P2PI is not simply a separate support plate: it incorporates an ISO 25 PLUS insulated twin-wall straight section, maintaining continuity of the flue through the supporting point.
De Marinis specifies the following dimensions for all variants:
- Hu = 130 mm;
- Hn = 92 mm;
- I = 45 mm.
ISO 25 PLUS and G50 classification
The P2PI belongs to the De Marinis ISO 25 PLUS insulated twin-wall system, which carries a G50 classification in its high-temperature configuration.
The relevant designation is:
T600-N1-W-V2-L50040/050/060-G50
G50 corresponds to a 50 mm clearance from combustible materials when installed in the certified system configuration.
Important: the G50 classification applies only to the certified ISO 25 PLUS configuration installed in accordance with De Marinis technical instructions.
Insulated twin-wall construction

Technical note: De Marinis specifies Hu = 130 mm, Hn = 92 mm and joint depth I = 45 mm for all P2PI variants. The external diameter is 50 mm larger than the nominal internal diameter.
How to read the technical drawing
- Øi: nominal internal flue diameter;
- Øe: external diameter of the insulated twin-wall system;
- Hu: usable component height, 130 mm;
- Hn: vertical support-plate dimension, 92 mm;
- I: joint depth, 45 mm.
Installation and load support
The support plate must rest on or be secured to a structure capable of safely supporting the calculated flue loads.
The number and position of intermediate support plates must be determined according to chimney height, component weight, installation configuration and De Marinis technical requirements.
The P2PI must be installed without introducing deformation or stress into the flue sections and while maintaining correct alignment of the joints.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with De Marinis technical documentation, appliance instructions and applicable regulations.
