De Marinis ISO 25 PLUS P2AR anti-wind anti-downdraught terminal G50
The De Marinis P2AR is the anti-wind, anti-downdraught and weather-protection terminal for the ISO 25 PLUS G50 insulated twin-wall flue system.
It is installed at the top of the chimney and is particularly suitable for external installations exposed to strong wind, rain or snow.
Its geometry provides greater protection of the chimney outlet against direct weather exposure while maintaining the openings required for flue-gas discharge.
The P2AR is available in nominal internal diameters Ø80, 100, 130, 150, 180, 200, 250, 300 and 350 mm.

What the P2AR is used for
The P2AR completes the upper end of the chimney and is intended for installations requiring greater weather protection than a conventional rain cap.
Its configuration is suitable for:
- protecting the outlet against rain and precipitation;
- shielding the terminal from direct lateral wind;
- helping reduce weather-related downdraught effects;
- protecting highly exposed external chimney installations;
- completing the ISO 25 PLUS system with a dedicated weather terminal.
Anti-wind and anti-downdraught design
The P2AR features a more protected outer geometry than a conventional open rain cap.
This configuration provides increased shielding from lateral wind and precipitation while maintaining the openings required for combustion-product discharge.
Technical note: the P2AR can help reduce the influence of adverse weather conditions at the chimney outlet but does not compensate for incorrect chimney sizing or installation. Draught, chimney height, pressure losses and outlet position must be assessed as part of the complete flue design.
P2AR ISO 25 PLUS and I2AR ISO 25
De Marinis also offers an anti-wind / anti-downdraught terminal within the ISO 25 range, identified by product family I2AR.
P2AR and I2AR therefore perform a similar function within their respective flue ranges: both are designed to provide weather protection at the chimney outlet in exposed installations.
The appropriate version must be selected according to the flue system used, maintaining compatibility between components belonging to the same product range.
P2AR versus P2CC

The P2CC is primarily intended to protect against precipitation, while the P2AR offers increased shielding where wind exposure is also an important factor.

The G50 classification corresponds to a 50 mm clearance from combustible materials in the certified De Marinis configuration.
Important: G50 applies exclusively to the certified ISO 25 PLUS configuration installed according to De Marinis instructions.

How to read the technical drawing
- Øi: nominal internal chimney diameter;
- Øe: external diameter of the ISO 25 PLUS system;
- H: overall terminal height;
- Ød: maximum external diameter of the terminal body.
Installation
The P2AR must be installed as the upper chimney terminal according to De Marinis instructions and the correct assembly direction.
The outlet position must allow proper discharge of combustion products and comply with applicable chimney outlet requirements, building configuration and appliance instructions.
The terminal should remain accessible for periodic inspection and maintenance.
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with De Marinis technical documentation, appliance instructions and applicable regulations.
