Palazzetti JPS TC 18: 16.1 kW sealed pellet boiler

Palazzetti JPS TC 18 is a sealed pellet boiler designed to operate as the main heat generator for a hydronic central-heating system.

It provides a 16.1 kW nominal useful heat output, with as much as 16 kW delivered directly to the heating-water circuit.

JPS TC 18 combines an integrated hydronic unit, anti-condensation valve, flue-tube heat exchanger with turbulators, automatic cleaning systems and a standard 50 kg pellet hopper.

16.1 kW total output and 16 kW to water

JPS TC 18 provides a 16.1 kW nominal heat output, with 16 kW transferred to the heating-water circuit.

Virtually all useful heat is therefore made available to the hydronic system, making JPS a purpose-designed central-heating boiler rather than a room-heating appliance.

Sealed pellet boiler

JPS TC 18 is a sealed pellet boiler designed for external combustion-air ducting.

The combustion-air supply, boiler room and flue system must always be designed according to the installation manual and applicable local regulations.

Flue-tube heat exchanger with turbulators

The boiler features a flue-tube heat exchanger equipped with turbulators.

This arrangement promotes efficient heat transfer from the combustion gases to the heating-water circuit.

Integrated hydronic unit

JPS TC 18 includes an integrated hydronic unit comprising:

• closed expansion vessel;
• pressure gauge.

The integrated components simplify installation but do not replace correct hydraulic system design and sizing.

Integrated anti-condensation valve

An integrated anti-condensation valve helps manage return-water temperature and reduce operating conditions that could promote condensation inside the heat exchanger.

Self Cleaning System

The Self Cleaning System automatically cleans both the pellet burn pot and the heat-exchanger tubes.

This helps maintain consistent heat transfer and reduce routine manual cleaning, although scheduled maintenance remains necessary.

Complete Burning System

The Complete Burning System promotes more complete combustion of residual material, helping reduce ash production and improve fuel utilisation.

50 kg pellet hopper

The standard boiler incorporates a 50 kg pellet hopper.

Pellet consumption ranges from approximately 1.12 to 3.56 kg/h, depending on output and operating conditions.

Optional pellet-loading unit

For installations requiring greater pellet-storage capacity, Palazzetti offers an optional pellet-loading unit with additional storage tank.

This solution can reduce the frequency of manual pellet refilling and is particularly useful when the boiler is used as the primary heating generator.

Touch controls and heating-system integration

JPS TC 18 features a graphic digital display with touch controls and daily and weekly scheduling.

An integrated interface is provided for an external thermostat or buffer tank.

Smart-control compatibility

JPS TC 18 is designed for the optional Universal Gateway, allowing access to compatible Palazzetti smart-control functions.

EN 303-5 Class 5

JPS TC 18 is classified as an EN 303-5 Class 5 pellet boiler.

This boiler classification is separate from the Italian 5-star environmental rating under D.M. 186; the two ratings refer to different regulatory requirements.

Installation and system sizing

JPS TC 18 must be selected according to a proper heat-loss calculation and the characteristics of the hydronic heating system.

With 16 kW delivered to water, system design should consider building heat demand, water volume, heating emitters, flow and return temperatures, buffer storage and any additional heat generators.

Palazzetti JPS TC 18 is rated A+ and achieves the Italian 5-star environmental rating under D.M. 186.
