Description

45° MILLENIUM Sweden wood stove elbow

The MILLENIUM Sweden 45° elbow is a flue fitting designed to create gradual changes of direction in the internal flue connection of wood-burning stoves, range cookers and solid-fuel appliances.

It is manufactured from 2 mm thick ferrous steel and finished with a matt black porcelain-enamelled coating. Its robust construction is designed to withstand the temperatures and operating conditions typically associated with wood-burning appliances.

The 45-degree angle provides a more gradual change of direction than a 90° elbow, helping adapt the flue route between the stove outlet and the chimney inlet to the layout of the installation.

What the 45° elbow is used for

The 45° elbow is used to change the direction of the stove pipe without creating a right-angle bend.

It can be used, for example, to:

  • offset the flue route from the stove outlet;
  • reach a chimney inlet that is not directly aligned with the appliance;
  • connect two sections with a gradual change of direction;
  • create specific flue offsets using two compatible elbows where permitted by the system design.

Before purchasing, check that the selected diameter matches:

  • the appliance flue outlet;
  • the other pipes and fittings in the system;
  • the appliance manufacturer's instructions;
  • the technical requirements of the installation.

2 mm porcelain-enamelled steel

The 2 mm thick steel construction provides strength and long-term stability.

The matt black porcelain-enamelled finish protects the steel surface and provides a uniform appearance suitable for visible indoor installations.

The elbow is designed to match compatible components from the MILLENIUM Sweden range.

Connection and compatibility

The male-female joint is designed for connection to compatible pipes, elbows and fittings from the same range and with the same diameter.

For correct fitting, the use of MILLENIUM Sweden components is recommended.

Components from different flue systems should only be combined after checking their dimensional, technical and regulatory compatibility.

45° elbow and flue routing

Every change of direction affects the route of the combustion gases and the draught characteristics of the installation.

A 45° elbow provides a more gradual change of direction than a 90° elbow and can be useful when designing the stove connection where the layout allows it.

The number of elbows, their angle and the total length of the connecting flue should always be assessed according to:

  • the characteristics and output of the stove;
  • the flue outlet diameter;
  • the total length of the connecting flue;
  • the chimney configuration;
  • the appliance manufacturer's instructions;
  • applicable installation regulations.

Installation

The elbow must be installed by qualified personnel in accordance with the appliance manufacturer's instructions, the characteristics of the chimney system and applicable regulations.

Installation direction and any required fixing or sealing method must comply with the requirements of the flue system.

Do not use this component to pass through walls, floors, ceilings or roofs unless this application is specifically covered by the system certification. Dedicated approved components must be used for these areas.
