The defining feature of KIM26 is its offset form. The gripping section is positioned away from the fixing axis, providing increased clearance between the handle and the door surface compared with the straight KIM16 version.
This configuration is particularly suitable for substantial timber entrance doors and classical joinery where a clearly accessible grip and strong architectural presence are required.
KIM26 retains the distinctive Impero design language through worked profiles and manually finished decorative details. Its historically inspired form makes it particularly suitable for classical interiors, period properties and restoration projects.
KIM26 is a fixed pull handle: it provides a grip for opening or closing the door and does not directly operate the lock mechanism.
The product is supplied complete with single through-fixing hardware and internal cover nuts. For back-to-back installations, the corresponding KIM26PA version is available to order.
Impero belongs to Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range dedicated to the reinterpretation of historic architectural hardware. Its manufacture combines traditional casting and finishing methods with a significant element of manual craftsmanship, chiselled detailing and hand finishing.
Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of these traditional processes and are consistent with the handcrafted character of the collection.
The product page offers bronze, natural brass and natural unlacquered silver finishes.
Natural untreated metal surfaces may gradually change in colour and appearance through handling, exposure and ageing. Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, gradually oxidises and develops its characteristic surface patina.
