Louis XVI interprets historic architectural hardware through ordered, decorative lines associated with the Empire style. Compared with some of the more imposing Antologhia models, its proportions are more restrained, allowing the hardware to integrate more discreetly with the door.
This makes the model particularly suitable for double-leaf doors, as well as classical timber doors, historic properties and restoration projects where balanced hardware proportions are important.
Louis XVI is part of Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range that combines Italian manufacturing with traditional production techniques and a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
The hand-chiselled detailing is one of the defining characteristics of this model. Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a natural consequence of traditional manufacturing processes and are consistent with the handcrafted character of the collection.
The product page offers bronze, natural brass and natural unlacquered silver finishes. Unprotected metal surfaces may gradually change in colour and appearance through handling, exposure and natural ageing.
Natural unlacquered brass, in particular, gradually oxidises and develops its characteristic surface patina, contributing to the authentic appearance associated with traditional architectural hardware.
