Accademia KAC11R is an interior door handle from the Colombo Design Antologhia collection, a range inspired by traditional and historically influenced door hardware.
The handle is made of brass and is supplied in a rose-mounted configuration. Its shaped lever and decorative detailing make it particularly suitable for classical doors, traditional interiors, period properties and architectural restoration projects.

The lever design recalls traditional decorative door hardware and has a more articulated profile than contemporary minimalist handles. Accademia is therefore particularly suitable for classical doors, traditional interiors and projects where the hardware needs to complement period-style architectural details.
The rose-mounted configuration keeps the lever visually separate from the lock escutcheon, giving greater prominence to the shape and decorative profile of the handle.
The unlacquered finishes used in the Antologhia collection are natural surfaces designed to change gradually over time and with use. Unprotected brass, in particular, may oxidise and develop a characteristic surface patina, progressively changing in tone and appearance.
Traditional manufacturing methods and manual workmanship may also produce slight porosity, texture or other surface variations. These features are consistent with the aesthetic character of the collection and distinguish it from industrial finishes designed to remain perfectly uniform.
The choice between brass, bronze and natural silver finishes makes it possible to coordinate the handle with doors, hinges, locks and other metal details in the interior. With unlacquered finishes, gradual changes in colour and surface appearance are a normal consequence of use, exposure and ageing.
