Colombo Design Byblos KBY11R: brass door handle on rose

Byblos KBY11R is an interior door handle from the Colombo Design Antologhia collection, made of brass and supplied in a traditional rose-mounted configuration.

The model is distinguished by its substantial proportions and richly worked detailing, giving it a distinctly classical architectural character. Byblos is particularly suited to traditional timber doors, period interiors, historic properties and restoration projects where the hardware is intended to remain a visible decorative element.

Main specifications

Classical design on rose

Byblos interprets traditional architectural hardware through a substantial lever with a strong decorative presence and carefully worked details. The rose-mounted configuration gives the composition a lighter appearance than the backplate version, allowing the lever itself to remain the principal visual element.

The model is particularly suitable for timber doors, classical interiors, period properties and restoration projects where the hardware needs to complement traditional architectural details.

Traditional Italian craftsmanship

Byblos is part of Colombo Design's Antologhia collection, a Made in Italy range inspired by historic architectural hardware. Its production combines traditional techniques with a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing, particularly in the treatment of decorative details and surfaces.

Slight porosity, texture or minor surface variations may occur as a consequence of these traditional manufacturing methods and are consistent with the artisanal character of the collection.

Available finishes

The product page offers bronze and polished lacquered brass (OLV). The OLV finish combines a polished brass surface with a protective lacquer designed to preserve its bright appearance and reduce the natural surface changes normally associated with untreated brass.

The available finishes make it possible to coordinate Byblos with hinges, locks and other metal details while preserving the traditional character of the Antologhia collection.

When to choose the rose-mounted version

The KBY11R version is suitable when the strong decorative identity of the Byblos lever is required with a visually lighter mounting solution than a long backplate. It is particularly appropriate for classical doors where the handle itself is intended to remain the main decorative feature.
