Colombo Design Palatino KPA22 / KPA22B – Traditional Brass Window Cremone Handle
The Palatino KPA22 / KPA22B is a traditional brass window cremone handle from the Antologhia collection by Colombo Design. It features an elongated vertical grip with a flat, rounded profile, mounted on a rectangular backplate with shaped ends and visible fixing screws.
The handle is offered in two configurations: KPA22 with a raised backplate and KPA22B with a low-profile backplate. Both share the same backplate height and width but differ in thickness and overall projection.
KPA22 and KPA22B: configurations and installation
KPA22 – Raised backplate: traditional configuration with a 175 × 38 mm backplate, 13 mm thickness and 43.5 mm overall projection.
KPA22B – Low-profile backplate: slimmer configuration with a 175 × 38 mm backplate, reduced thickness of 8 mm and 38.5 mm overall projection. Installation requires checking the preparation of the window frame and the space needed for the operating mechanism.
The KPA22 range differs from the Palatino KPA12 / KPA12B cremone handles, which feature a projecting oval turning knob rather than the elongated vertical grip.

Measurements are taken from Colombo Design technical drawings for both models. Overall projection must not be confused with the thickness of the backplate alone.
Palatino design and natural finishes
The Palatino KPA22 reflects traditional architectural hardware with its elongated, flat-profile grip and vertically arranged backplate. Made in Italy using traditional brass-working methods, the Antologhia collection incorporates a significant element of manual craftsmanship and hand finishing.
Standard finishes include natural unlacquered brass (ON), unlacquered bronze (BR) and natural nickel (NI).
Natural unlacquered finishes may gradually change in appearance, particularly natural brass, which can develop a characteristic patina. Minor surface variations or porosity may be consistent with the traditional brass-working and finishing techniques used for the collection.
Important – Backplate version and operating mechanismThe operating mechanism is not included and must be selected separately according to the window hardware. Before ordering, check mounting dimensions, window frame preparation and the space required for the mechanism, particularly for the low-profile KPA22B version.
