DISEC Sferik Basic BD16 – Mechanical Euro Cylinder Protector
The DISEC Sferik Basic BD16 is a mechanical security protector for Euro profile cylinder locks, designed to shield the outer section of the cylinder. Its hemispherical body, featuring a key access opening, provides an additional barrier against direct access, manipulation and damage to the cylinder.
Construction and operation
The protector has a hemispherical external profile designed to reduce accessible gripping points and hinder direct attacks on the cylinder. The front key opening allows normal key insertion and operation.
The oval external escutcheon completes the protective assembly and covers the mounting area on the door. The device is intended for Euro cylinder locks with compatible fixing arrangements.

Compatibility and installation requirements
The protector is intended for security doors and Euro cylinder locks with 38 mm fixing centres and M6 mounting threads. When replacing an existing cylinder protector, check the escutcheon dimensions, fixing-hole positions and clearance around the cylinder.
The cylinder projection relative to the external door panel must also be checked to ensure that the protector allows correct key insertion and operation.
