DISEC A2479 – Ribbed Reinforcement Plate for Up-and-Over Garage Doors
The DISEC A2479 is a ribbed galvanised steel reinforcement plate designed for the lock area of up-and-over garage doors. Its 270 × 270 mm overall dimensions and 3 mm thickness provide additional reinforcement around the locking mechanism, including suitable repairs to damaged door panels.
Reinforcing the garage door lock area
The A2479 plate adds reinforcement to the sheet metal surrounding the garage door lock, providing additional mechanical support. It can also be used when repairing deformed or damaged panels, subject to the condition of the door and existing fixing points.
The 12 mm deep ribbed profile must match the geometry of the door panel. The plate may be combined with compatible cylinder protection systems, without replacing the existing locking mechanism.

Compatibility and installation
The plate may be suitable for compatible installations involving round cylinders, Yale-type cylinders and double-bit locks. Actual compatibility depends on the door geometry, lock position and fixing-hole arrangement.
Before installation, compare the DISEC A2479 dimensioned drawing with the existing door, paying particular attention to the rib depth and profile dimensions. The product consists of the reinforcement plate only; the lock and cylinder protector are not included.
