De Marinis ISO 25 PLUS P2PP base support plate

The De Marinis P2PP base support plate is a structural component of the ISO 25 PLUS insulated twin-wall flue system, designed to provide a lower support point for the chimney.

The plate transfers the weight of the flue system to a suitable load-bearing structure and helps prevent structural loads from being carried by joints or components not designed for that purpose.

The P2PP is intended for use with ISO 25 PLUS systems featuring an AISI 316L BA stainless-steel inner wall, an AISI 304 BA outer wall and 25 mm blown mineral wool insulation.

It is available in nominal internal diameters Ø80, 100, 130, 150, 180, 200, 250, 300 and 350 mm.

What the P2PP base plate is used for

The P2PP is used to create the lower structural support point of the flue system.

It must be installed on a structure capable of supporting the weight of the chimney sections above and any additional loads generated by the system configuration.

Correct support prevents the chimney load from being transferred improperly to joints or other non-structural flue components.

Base plate and intermediate support plate

The P2PP is intended for use at the base of the system, while the P2PI provides intermediate support points along taller vertical runs.

Both components may be used in the same installation where required by the structural design and De Marinis instructions.

ISO 25 PLUS and G50 classification

The P2PP belongs to the ISO 25 PLUS system, whose high-temperature configuration is designated:

The G50 classification corresponds to a 50 mm clearance from combustible materials in the certified system configuration.

Important: G50 applies to the certified ISO 25 PLUS system configuration and must be used in accordance with De Marinis installation instructions.

P2PP dimensions and De Marinis product codes

Technical note: De Marinis lists Øi, Øe, A and B for P2PP. The external diameter is 50 mm larger than the nominal internal diameter. A and B indicate the overall plate dimensions.

How to read the technical drawing

• Øi: nominal internal flue diameter;
• Øe: external diameter of the twin-wall system;
• A: main overall plate dimension;
• B: secondary overall plate dimension.

Installation and support

The P2PP must be installed on a stable load-bearing structure designed to support the weight of the flue system above.

Plate position and any supporting brackets or structural components must be selected according to the calculated system loads and De Marinis requirements.

The support must not distort the flue components or misalign their joints.

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with De Marinis technical documentation and applicable regulations.
