De Marinis ISO 25 PLUS P2TA blind closure cap

The De Marinis P2TA blind cap is an ISO 25 PLUS component designed to close an end or inspection point of the flue system.

Depending on the flue configuration, it can be used to close the lower end of a fitting, branch or other point that must remain accessible for inspection and maintenance.

The P2TA is compatible with ISO 25 PLUS systems featuring an AISI 316L BA stainless-steel inner wall, an AISI 304 BA outer wall and 25 mm blown mineral wool insulation.

It is available in nominal internal diameters Ø80, 100, 130, 150, 180, 200, 250, 300 and 350 mm.

What the P2TA is used for

The P2TA is used to close an opening within the flue system where an integrated condensate drain is not required.

Its blind configuration can also allow the point to remain accessible for inspection, cleaning or maintenance, where this is required by the system design.

Difference between P2TA, P2TS and P2TL

• P2TA: blind closure / inspection cap;
• P2TS: central condensate drain cap;
• P2TL: lateral condensate drain cap.

Note: the P2TA does not incorporate a condensate drain. Where drainage is required, use the specific ISO 25 PLUS drain component designed for the installation.

ISO 25 PLUS and G50 classification

The P2TA belongs to the ISO 25 PLUS system, whose high-temperature designation is:

T600-N1-W-V2-L50040/050/060-G50

G50 corresponds to a 50 mm clearance from combustible materials in the certified system configuration.

Important: G50 is a classification of the complete certified ISO 25 PLUS system and should not be interpreted as an independent property of the P2TA cap.

P2TA dimensions and De Marinis product codes

Dimensional note: all P2TA variants have Hu = 40 mm and joint depth I = 45 mm. External diameter Øe is 50 mm greater than nominal internal diameter Øi.

Installation

The P2TA must be fitted at the closure point specified by the flue design and remain accessible where it is also used as an inspection point.

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with De Marinis technical documentation, appliance instructions and applicable regulations.
