DISEC PS0500 – Internal Handle Protection for Up-and-Over Garage Doors
The DISEC PS0500 is an internal handle security device designed for up-and-over garage doors. Its two-handed release mechanism makes it more difficult to operate the door handle from outside through a hole drilled in the metal panel.
How the PS0500 handle protector works
One method of forcing open a garage door involves drilling through the sheet metal near the lock and attempting to reach the internal release handle.
The PS0500 introduces an additional release action requiring both hands, making it more difficult to operate the handle from outside through an opening in the door panel.
The mechanism is designed to preserve the ability to release the door from inside, rather than permanently immobilising the handle.

Compatibility and installation
The device is intended for compatible garage door lock configurations, including certain VIRO, PREFER, FASEM and NEMEF applications. Actual compatibility depends on the internal handle geometry, lock position and available installation space.
Before installation, check that the device does not interfere with normal opening from inside the garage. The PS0500 provides additional handle protection and does not replace the existing garage door lock.
