The De Marinis DESIGN SDC4 45° elbow is a component of the DESIGN flue system designed to create a 45-degree change of direction in the flue connection of wood-burning stoves, fireplaces and biomass appliances.
It is manufactured from 2 mm carbon steel with a matt black high-temperature finish. Its robust construction and clean appearance make the DESIGN range particularly suitable for visible indoor installations.
The SDC4 elbow can be used to change direction or create an offset in the connecting flue, adapting the flue route to the position of the appliance and chimney inlet.
It is available in nominal diameters Ø 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 180 and 200 mm.
The SDC4 elbow is used where a 45-degree change of direction is required in the connecting flue.
It can be used individually or together with other components to create an offset and connect points that are not perfectly aligned.
Compared with a 90° elbow, a 45° change of direction can provide a more gradual flue route where permitted by the installation layout.
Before purchasing, select the correct diameter and check that it matches the appliance flue outlet and the other DESIGN components used in the installation.
Every change of direction affects the route of combustion products and must be considered when designing the connecting flue.
