90° De Marinis DESIGN SDT9 tee with lower cap for wood stoves

The De Marinis DESIGN SDT9 90° tee is a component of the DESIGN flue system designed to connect a horizontal flue section to a vertical section for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces and biomass appliances.

The fitting features a removable lower cap, providing access to the lower section of the tee for inspection, cleaning and maintenance.

It is manufactured from 2 mm carbon steel with a matt black high-temperature finish. Its robust construction and clean appearance make the DESIGN range particularly suitable for visible indoor installations.

The horizontal outlet is male. The tee is available in nominal diameters Ø 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 180 and 200 mm.

What the DESIGN SDT9 tee is used for

The SDT9 tee is mainly used to create a 90° connection between a horizontal pipe coming from the appliance and the vertical section of the flue system.

This configuration is commonly used where the appliance has a rear flue outlet or where the connection must reach a vertical flue section located behind or to the side of the appliance.

The lower removable cap also provides an accessible inspection and cleaning point at the bottom of the tee.

Before purchasing, select the correct diameter and check that it matches the appliance flue outlet and all other DESIGN components used in the installation.

Lower inspection and cleaning cap

The SDT9 features a removable lower cap that provides access to the area where soot and combustion residues may accumulate.

This access facilitates periodic maintenance and inspection without necessarily dismantling the other components of the connecting flue.

The cap should therefore remain easily accessible after installation.

Important: the lower cap must be correctly fitted and closed before operating the appliance. Inspection, cleaning and maintenance of the flue system must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable requirements.
