De Marinis DESIGN SDMM male-male sleeve for wood stove flue systems

The De Marinis DESIGN SDMM male-male sleeve is a component of the DESIGN flue system mainly used to reverse the connection direction between flue components for wood-burning stoves, fireplaces and biomass appliances.

Its male-male configuration allows two components presenting female ends at the connection point to be joined.

It is manufactured from 2 mm carbon steel with a matt black high-temperature finish. Its robust construction and clean appearance make the DESIGN range particularly suitable for visible indoor installations.

The SDMM sleeve is available in nominal diameters Ø 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 180 and 200 mm.

What the DESIGN SDMM sleeve is used for

The SDMM sleeve is used where the direction of the flue system joints needs to be reversed.

Its male-male configuration allows two components with female ends at the intended connection point to be joined.

This component is commonly used at the base of the flue system or in specific installation layouts where the joint direction needs to be changed.

Before purchasing, select the correct diameter and check compatibility with the other DESIGN components used in the installation.

Male-male connection

The SDMM sleeve features two male ends and is therefore a specific fitting for installations where the normal direction of the joints must be changed.

It is not simply a short straight pipe section: its main purpose is to adapt the connection geometry between components of the flue system.

The correct joint direction must always be determined according to the system layout and the manufacturer's installation instructions.

Important: the SDMM sleeve should only be used where a male-male connection is required by the flue system configuration. Its position and installation direction must be checked before installation.
